Finished Lambing

Finally the last of this years 2014 lambs were born. 38 in total. So happy the season is over! Its been long and cold and well cold. I would like to say that now I could think of getting a full nights sleep uninterrupted but have a few bottle babies that need tending @ midnight and 4am. I can't believe I have had enough energy to set the Farm Store back up before MD Sheep and Wool Fest. We are Starting to Coop a little w/ Oak Spring Farm. They have the best eggs and do a Veggi CSA.

Lambs Are Here!

2014 LAMBING season has begun! First lamb was born Jan 29th during a Feederbrook Farm Fiber Project/ CSA meeting. The lucky participants in the program got to see their first birth ever and they didn't have to wait around all night into the early morning. But it was still pretty cold out. We are looking forward to milder weather. By the way the first lamb is a ram lamb and a Lincoln/Teeswater cross.
Here  is our first Teeswater 90% + born here on the farm. Super cute ewe lamb w/ a sister. Great start to the year.
